Project Brief
This project was commissioned by the Ghanaian Government (2016-2024) as an initiative to revitalize the nation's air travel industry. Savilon Consulting Agency selected my design concept from a competitive pitch process.
My approach centered on three core principles: thorough research, expert consultation, and intentional design. To honor the legacy of the original Ghana Airways brand while positioning it for the future, I collaborated with creative directors, brand strategists, and aviation industry specialists to develop a comprehensive understanding of the project's requirements.
Throughout the design process, Ghanaian cultural heritage and originality emerged as paramount considerations, ultimately guiding the creative direction and resulting in the final design solution presented in this portfolio.
The logo was born from 4 elements. The eagle, “King of the Sky,” bears the power of flight, guided by the lodestar as it carries the spirit of the Ghanaian people through its journey. The logo is built on the foundation of nationalism and the progressive steps the nation is taking towards modern air travel.
